What Are The Early Indications You May Be An Identity Theft Victim?

If you have lost important identity or financial documents, such as your credit card, you are immediately at risk of identity theft. Your passport or driver’s licence, or your social security number details, may enable an identity thief to pass himself off with your identity. Your credit card may enable a thief to undertake financial transactions in your name.

If your mail appears to be getting tampered with that may be an indication an identity thief is active. If your bank or credit card statements are not arriving as normal your alarm bells should certainly start to ring. A common identity theft tactic is to intercept these statements to delay your ability to see what is happening to your financial affairs.

A strong sign of identity theft is when bills begin to arrive for purchases you have not made. Keeping these from your attention is another reason why identity thieves may take a close interest in your mailbox.

Your mail, or part of it may have been redirected to another address, either through a redirection order being lodged in your name with the postal service, or by notifying a change of address to the people sending mail to you, especially your bank. If you suspect something is wrong with your mail deliveries, check whether this has happened.

If bank and credit card statements and bills are being intercepted in this way, there are other subtle signs of a developing problem that may still get through, such as thank you letters, receipts and follow up promotions from companies you have had no contact with.

The first really serious indication you may hear of a growing debt problem is when credit managers, financial institutions, debt collectors or solicitors try to contact you. This may be by telephone if your mail is still being tampered with.

You may encounter unexpected problems with financial services, such a hire purchase, loan, credit card or mortgage application that indicates your credit status has deteriorated. You can order a copy of your credit file from credit reference agencies to see whether it shows dealings with companies and transactions that you have no knowledge of.

You may be turned down for a state benefit of some kind or social security payment on the grounds you are already receiving it – because an identity thief has already claimed it in your name.

You may find that someone has taken out a mobile phone in your name, possibly signing up for an expensive contract.

As soon as you feel there is sufficient evidence of an emerging problem you should initiate a review of your financial affairs, and begin talking to unfamiliar companies that seem to think they are doing business with you. The earlier you can detect identity theft and take action the less damage will be done to your reputation.

Affordable Christmas Treats and Decorations

When you ask people what their favorite part of the holiday season is, often they answer enthusiastically it’s all the great food and the decorations. Cookies, candies, pies, and other special sweet treats are at the top of most everyone’s list, and everyone loves a festively decorated home to make Christmas even merrier. But you don’t have to be a Christmas grinch worrying about how much all these special treats and decorations will take from your holiday budget.  With some creativity and a quick inventory of what you already have on hand it can really be quite simple.

One of most affordable treats you can make is yummy cookies made with homemade dough.  Generally speaking, it’s usually pretty simple for even the most challenged bakers to make. And if you’re pressed for time and choose to use the ready-made cookie dough from the grocery store, that doesn’t mean you have to do without fun holiday-shaped cookies. It’s very simple to choose a design or two that you like, trace it onto wax paper or aluminum foil, cut it out and use as a pattern to trim your cookie dough around.

If you’re serving these cookies at a party or open house with coffee or hot tea, try getting creative with some sugar cubes as a sweet decoration nearby.  Take the sugar cubes, stack in a pyramid-fashion, and perhaps place some small colored marshmallows on toothpicks and place carefully in the cubes, and you’ll have a festive looking, snow-covered decorated outdoor Christmas tree.  Then the cubes can be used for the tea and coffee, and the marshmallows can be used for the hot cocoa.

Focus your decorating around colors and themes you already have in your decorations collection. Red and green are both bold colors that really pop once you add a golden or silvery accent to it.  If you don’t own vast amounts of decorations, focus on decorating one particular area of a room, such as the corner the tree stands in, or the fireplace mantelpiece. To complement your decorating, don’t overlook anything in your possession as something you can use.  Maybe you have a Christmas sweater that you wouldn’t wear. Put it on one of your children’s large teddy bears and set him in a corner chair, and he may become a hot topic of conversation at your holiday open house.

Votive candles are a quick, affordable decoration.  Place a cluster of three of them on holiday plates, light them, and scatter them on coffee and end tables to add a nice, soft glow.  Floating votives in a fishbowl or other festive serving bowl made from clear or colored glass is an easy addition to your decorating scheme. Bouquets of candy canes tied with Christmas ribbon and placed in red- or green-colored drinking glasses add just a touch of Christmas cheer, and make a sweet treat to send home with your guests once your open house or party is over.

But the most important ingredient at your holiday table or gathering is the Christmas spirit.  Remember the reason for the season.  Your guests will surely feel the same Christmas cheer once they arrive at your home.

Symptoms of depression

Having depression is sometimes confusing. There are many people that do not realize they have a problem.  They may not know that there is something wrong with the way that they think and see things.  Having depression can be a very dangerous thing.  If you let the symptoms go and do nothing about them, you risk the result of something worse happening in your life.

There are a few things that you should watch for when you think there may be a problem with depression. You will want to be aware of anything that is not normal in yourself and in anyone around you.  You will want to be on your guard and think about what could happen if you miss the signs that are so important in depression.

The signs of depression are different for everyone. You have to be aware of anything that is not normal.  Think about how you usually act or if it is in someone else, think about the things that they usually do.  If something is not adding up, you should ask questions and think about what may be going on.

One sign of depression is changes in the way a person eats.  If a person is not eating like they usually do, this may be a sign of depression. This can be over or under eating and it can lead to major eating disorders.  Another sign is not sleeping.  If there is someone that you know or yourself that cannot get enough sleep or is sleeping too much, this can be one sign of depression.  You need to think about the normal patterns that are in your life and what is different in your life.

Mood swings are another important symptom to look out for if you are worried about depression.  You need to think about how you or someone else is acting. Think about if someone is acting out or having trouble with mood swings.  If there is a change in the behavior this can be a very big sign of depression. It is important to find out what is going on and figure out a reason that this type of mood is going on.  There may be some reason why a person is having trouble with the way that they are acting. This may be the cause of the depression that is going on.

Having aches and pains is another issue that can be linked to depression. You may have pains in your body that are causing major problems with the way that you act and do things in your life. If you have unexplained pains in your body, you may have a problem with depression. This is a symptom that you need to be aware of so that you know if you are dealing with depression or not.

Pregnancy depression

Being pregnant is a great time for most women. They are so excited to be on their way to giving birth to the child of their dreams and they are very happy to have their dreams finally come true. However some women have a hard time dealing with the stress of being pregnant and go through bouts of depression during their pregnancy.

Many times a woman will feel like they are not as sexy as they once were when they are pregnant.  They may not feel good about who they are and what they look like when they are pregnant.  These feelings are normal and many go through them. It is usually something that goes away after a short amount of time.  Many do not have to deal with pregnancy depression. However there are some that are not so fortunate.

Pregnancy depression is serious. Many women let their body take over their mind. All pregnant women are going to gain weight and that is not unavoidable.  It is going to happen no matter what and there is no way around it. There are some women that love the fact that their body is changing and they have a great baby inside them growing each day. This is something special and it is a great feeling for them. Many women do not think this is a great thing and get embarrassed by the way that they look.

There are things that a person can do to make their pregnancy depression go away and not seem so bad.  Women can get new clothes that are going to make them feel sexy. They will feel better when they have clothes that make them look great and feel better about the way that they look.  Sometimes getting dressed up is all that women needs to get out of the depression that is causing them so much pain.

Make up is another great idea that can help a pregnant woman feel better about being pregnant.  You do not have to go over board with the make up. You can simply add on some lipstick and some mascara to make yourself look a little bit better and lift your spirits as much as you can.  Many women will snap out of their depression quickly realize that being pregnant is not so bad and it is a special time for them.

Men can make woman feel better too by giving them some compliments about the way that they look. They can take them out and let them know that they are beautiful the way that they are.  A woman may not feel they are attractive unless the man in their life pays some attention to them and gives them a feeling of love and appreciation.  Pregnancy depression is not something that any women should deal with.  It is a very hard thing to get over and the best thing to do is not let it happen to you so that you can have the best pregnancy possible.

Kids and animal assisted therapy

Kids and animal assisted therapy

Kids all over the world need help in healing and understanding. Many issues make it hard for a child to overcome things that happen in their life. However, when they have the ability to have someone there to lean on and get them through the process, it is much easier on everyone that is involved. One idea for this healing power is the animal assisted therapy program.

Kids and animals are going to have a great bond together. It makes no difference what type of animal it is, there is going to be a relationship formed.  They are both good natured and good-hearted creatures that deserve to be happy and healthy no matter what. For some kids, they need to have the support of an animal to help them work through issues and even get them to heal in the way that they should.

There are different animals that can be considered for the animal assisted therapy program for children.  Many times the varieties of animals is large and it is hard to pick just one that you want to have help you with your healing process. There are usually dogs, cats, pigs, horses, and so many more that are included in the choices that can be chosen.  Sometimes a child will find it hard to think about what is going to be the best option for them.  It is going to be determined by the aliment that the child has and what is in the best interest of them.

So many programs are willing to help with the animal assisted therapy program. Many times children are shown these ideas from someone that has heard about them in a particular area.  However, if you are having no luck finding someone that is going to be able to help you with this type of goal, you can go online and look up the research on it. You will be sure to find some type of organization that is located near you. However if you do not find anything that is going to work in your favor, why not start your own business and get this type of help out there for children in your area.

Making sure that you do your part for animal assisted therapy is very important. You need to make sure that you are putting a good effort into it and working hard to create special memories for children that need to have physical and emotional support.  Just by spending time with the animal assisted therapy, pets can be a great success for many children.  Look up the websites and find out what is offered in your area now.

Surefire Fun Way to Stay Healthy - Sweatin' to the Oldies

Sweatin' to the Oldies

An important part of being healthy as you age is getting enough exercise. It is good if you can stay active, but you should also be getting exercise in addition to simply staying active.

A good way to make sure that you are getting enough exercise as you age is to be sure that what you are doing in order to be active has a good impact on the exercise that you do get. When you are walking, if you are able, you should try to walk fast, so that you get your heart rate going, which is the best way for you to get exercise as you age.

A treadmill is great thing for anyone to have in their home as they get older. You don't have to worry about walking outside if it might be cold, or slipping and falling if it is icy or snowy. You also don't have to worry about walking around by yourself if your neighborhood is not that safe. Walking on a treadmill, you can adjust the speed at which you are walking so that you are going at a pace that is comfortable, but one that still gets your heart rate up. You also don't have to worry about crossing streets, watching out for cars, or getting tired if you are far away from your home. When you want to stop, you can just stop, and you are already at home.

Many people also benefit from using hand weights as a way to get exercise, even as they get older. Lifting light weights in many repetitions allows you to also get your heart going, and this is a good source of exercise for someone who has limited mobility when it comes to walking, but who might be perfectly able to lift weights. You should try to get as much exercise with hand weights as you feel comfortable with.

Remember that it is not always important that you get a certain type of exercise as you age, just that you get exercise. Classes especially for senior citizens can be very beneficial and fun! You should talk to your doctor about what types of exercise are good for you and your particular body, and together with your doctor you should set down an exercise routine that is good for you as a person. There are many kinds of exercise, and many levels at which you can exercise, so you should be able to find a routine that fits your needs.

Camping with the Family

Camping has always been a family tradition. If you enjoy spending time with your family, or feel that you do not spend enough time, a family camping trip is necessary. Your whole family may not be on board with the area, but it is a great way to get away from the city and reflect on life and nature.

You will find that camping is an experience like no other. Not only do you find beauty in nature, but you also have to think about all the interesting things that you can subject your family to. You can teach your son how to fish, or the daughters will love burning off some energy hiking a trail. It is a great way to pull the family together. If you really want to go camping and get the family into it, you can do several activities like canoe racing or fishing races. Get creative and the time will fly by.

When the family goes on vacation, it tends to be hard to leave your life behind and spend sometime getting to know nature. However, you should try to leave as much behind you as possible. Do not bring the laptops or have everyone bring their CD players or cell phones.

Some places do not even have cell range so it is pointless to carry everything with you. However, you should have a few cell phones on you so that you do not have to worry about anything happening, but do not stay on the cell too much because batteries do die.

The great thing about camping with the family is that you are able to share experiences and knowledge with your children. Many people who have gone camping before know random things like rafting, fishing, and even trees or kinds of plants. You will want to share your knowledge of certain camping related things and impress your entire family. Many people who have gone camping time and time can tell you exactly what to avoid (like poison ivy or oak) and having a show and tell would be a great way to your family's attention.

When you go camping with your kids you are able to share with them that not many kids get to experience. Today, everyone is involved in their lives so much that it would seem impossible for them to set some time aside and bond with the kids, but if you can find time for a camping trip you can find plenty of time to bond with your family.

Tips on New Year’s Eve Party Planning

It has been a year full of laughter and tears. And right now, you just want to spend the last minutes of the year that is about to end with your family and friends. It’s as if you want to end the year cherishing the best and even the worst of the previous year and some new hopes for the coming year.

To do this, you have to incorporate the right planning. Here is a list of some tips to guide you through:

1. Make sure everybody on your list is free to come

Before you plan a New Year’s Eve party, it is best to make sure that all of your guests are still free to spend the night with you and the gang. Everything will only be put to waste if at the time of the party, you only have two to three guests that were able to come.

2. Plan the menu

Keep in mind that New Year’s Eve parties are not the usual fine dining setting or even a “sit-down” feast. The point of the party is to have everybody socialize with one another, so it’s best not to constrain them to the dinner table.

Hence, it’s best to have appetizers, finger-foods, or some dessert where you can even include your own personal relieving or stress-removing foods like chocolates or cheese.

Or if you really want to have a sumptuous feast as some sort of celebrating the coming year, you can arrange for a “potluck dinner". This is when everybody tries to bring something to share for dinner. Just try to get the foods to be brought organized so that there will be as many varieties as possible.

3. Prepare the necessary props

Even if you and your friends would only want to have a nice and comfortable get together to celebrate the occasion, it is still best to welcome the New Year with a bang! So try to include some of the usual “noisemakers” in order to liven up the celebration.

4. Use less utensils and plates that need more cleaning

Since everybody will be very busy mingling with everybody, it would be better to use plates and utensils that need less cleaning. Hence, try to use plastic cups, plates, and utensils that can be easily thrown out in the trash can.

The bottom line is that when planning a New Year’s Eve party, the details should not be excessive. What matters most is for your guests to enjoy the party because you are all together for the New Year.

Managing Family Debts for Better Living

Debts are a common thing. Many people acquire a loan for something important. Mortgage loans are also ordinary, as they enable people to be able to purchase their dream houses.

If you have debts and are looking for the best solution for it, here are good tips to follow so you can manage that debt and continue living life as you do.

1. Assess your debts. Check all the billing statements sent to you and the amount your creditor is asking in payments. If you see any conflicts or wrong entries, dispute them accordingly. You then make a substantial computation, including interests and other charges.

2. Make a plan. Decide as to how long you intend to pay your debts. If you can do it in a year or earlier than that, you can choose that scheme because the scheduled interest to pay is relatively lower. But you’ve got to consider your everyday living expenses as well. It wouldn't be good to pay your debts alone and leave nothing for your personal needs.

3. Budget accordingly. Now that you have arrived at your total debt amount, you now have to budget your expenditures. Determine the exact amount you have to pay monthly, in accordance to the span of time you are supposed to have paid the entire debt. Then make the loan repayment amount the first priority in your budget.

4. Further reduce your spending. If you find out that your monthly income seems to be less than your projected monthly expenses, try to check which purchases you can put off or cut out entirely. Try to stick to your needs rather than the wants.

5. Maximize your savings. If you have some money in the bank, try to determine how you can use it best to pay off your debts. Check which of your savings accounts is the lowest interest earner. Maybe you can use that to compensate a loan with a much higher rate of interest.

6. Search for additional payment sources. You can get a part time job or set up a home business to further augment your financial obligations. There are also government funds that you can possibly get. These are all going to be helpful for you.

Follow these six tips and you are sure to be free of debt in no time. The main idea in managing debts effectively is setting proper priorities. Once you've mastered that, you are bound to be successful.

What an Electric Powered Radio Controlled Car Can Do

What an Electric Powered Radio Controlled Car Can Do

In the world of radio controlled cars, having a good model means being able to accelerate at the fastest time as well as relatively low maintenance engines. For a beginner, an electric powered radio controlled car is recommended. It gives the controller a "feel" of the game first without too much fuss.

For this kind of R/C to run, the battery must be charged. Take note that charging may take some time as it is the only source of power for your car. Remember also to let your engine cool down after a run to avoid damaging the permanent magnets.

Electric Power: What can it do to your R/C?

1. An electric powered R/C is very easy to clean. The dirt on your model will usually be track dust only. It does not have grease stains or oil patches that you need to rub off. Wipe your car with a clean piece of cloth before and after a race and you're ready to go.

2. Electric powered radio controlled cars are lightweight. Because their engines do not carry the excess weight of gas or fuel tanks, they can accelerate faster. This is an important feature if you are going to enter your car in a short distance race.

3. The torque of your car is more balanced if it is electric powered. This even rotating force gives you more control. For as long as you have mastered to manipulate your transmitter, you can swerve and even drift in a smoother manner compared to other energy powered R/C's.

4. Better throttle response can be expected from this type of R/C. This effect is the combination of a lighter car and smoother engine. Thus, acceleration is faster and the power is stronger to push your car.

5. Regular maintenance is minimal. It usually consists of regular dust cleaning, checking the parts for any damage, and replacing any part that has been worn down. Electric power lets the owner do away with oil changes, electrical tuning, and fuel checking.

6. These types of radio controlled cars are quiet and do not give off gasoline fumes. Because it does not roar like a real car, it is suitable for indoor racing. It is also relatively smell-free unlike gas powered R/C's which are reserved for outdoor races only.

The basic features of an electric powered R/C are cleanliness and simplicity. It provides the thrill of the speed without having too much maintenance baggage attached.

Start Preparing for the Holidays in Early November

Early November might seem like a premature time to some to start getting ready for the holidays, but those who are super organized and never seem to stress out during the holidays would be the first to tell you it’s never too early to plan.  If you aren’t one of those who start your Christmas shopping early, don’t despair.  There’s plenty you can do right now to get a good head start on the holiday season to be ready.

Probably one of the most time-consuming Christmas chores is sending out your holiday greeting cards.  It can be doubly frustrating when some of them come back because your address book was out-of-date.  Now would be a great time to sit down and look through your address book and make sure you are caught up and have current mailing addresses for everyone.  While you’re in the process of updating, you might want to check current phone numbers so you can quickly invite someone to an open house or to join you for sledding, caroling, or a shopping excursion.  Try to include current e-mail addresses for your computer-savvy friends, family and associates, so all your contact options are up to snuff.  If you’re sending out photo cards this year, there’s no reason why you can’t get those envelopes addressed and stamped early.  Then once those cards are back from the printers, it’s simply a matter of jotting a quick note if you choose, signing, and sending them off.  Also, be sure to schedule your photo studio session early if you’re having professional pictures taken this year for your Christmas cards.

Another big item on people’s Christmas to-do list is finalizing their shopping list.  Once you have a good idea what you want to get everyone on your list, take some time and shop around.  If you’re an internet user, look around online for the best deals.  Check out some of the catalogs that have recently arrived in the mail.  Many internet and catalog retailers deeply discount or waive shipping altogether for customers depending on the amount of their purchase.  And you can save time and frustration by having it delivered either directly to you or have the retailer gift wrap and drop ship it for you.

Finalize your grocery shopping lists as well.  That way when it’s time to start baking, you won’t be caught without the necessary ingredients.  You’ll also avoid that last-minute rush to get your turkey or ham before they’re all gone.  Take a look at your menu and see what items can be prepped beforehand, and schedule that accordingly to make meal prep a breeze.

Take stock of what decorations you have available, and check their condition. Replace light strands and broken ornaments now, so that when the time comes to decorate, you’ll have everything you need.

With some proper planning and a little creativity and forethought, the holidays can be a time of peace and tranquility because you’ve taken the steps ahead of time to eliminate the stress.

Dear Parents: Introducing… Your Preteen!

Dear Parents: Introducing… Your Preteen!

Something interesting happens to your child between the ages of nine and twelve. Like a caterpillar entering a cocoon, he begins to build his own world, separate from the one you’ve made for him as a youngster. In that cocoon, several transformations occur. There are the physical changes that prepare him for puberty. There is also marked emotional growth, as he begins to come into his own person and make some attempts towards independence. Socially, he branches out beyond the familiar network he grew up with, to create his own social circles. Psychologically, you may notice him alternating between doubt and confidence. That confusion is characteristic of this stage, when children find themselves in a fluid state of being ‘in-between’.

Yes, your child is now a preteen! He’s in that wonderful yet sometimes confusing phase between being a child and being a full-fledged teenager. During this stage, your child won’t be the only one going through transitions. You too as a parent will need to revolutionize your parenting skills as well.

With your preteen, be ready to shift your role from teacher to coach. Your child already knows the ‘WHATs’ and ‘HOWs’ of the right thing to do. You’ve pretty much nailed that down in the first eight years. What he needs from you now is guidance on the WHYs of it being right, so that he can understand the principles behind correct actions and decisions. Help him to grasp the values, beliefs and principles upon which your lessons on proper behavior are grounded. Once absorbed, he’ll learn to apply them consistently later on, even when you’re not around.

You’ll also need to redefine disciplining your child. Instead of aiming for him to simply obey your instructions, develop his responsibility to do what’s right without needing to be told. Furthermore, underline the value that you want to ingrain. You can do this with self-reinforcing contracts that incorporate a reward or withhold a privilege, depending on how your preteen upholds his end of the deal. Joe’s story is a concrete example.

When Joe began middle school, his parents asked him if he felt ready to receive a weekly allowance. Joe excitedly agreed, because it was a real step up from the milk-money they gave him everyday in grade school. He received his first real allowance on Monday morning and he was told that this was his money for the entire week. By Wednesday afternoon however, Joe found that he’d spent it all! Since it was the first week they were trying this, Joe’s parents decided to be lenient. They still gave him milk money for both Thursday and Friday. They also thought up a contract that would help Joe manage his weekly allowance better.

This was the deal. Joe had to make his allowance last the whole week. If he ran out of money before then, he would not be given any more until his next allowance on the following Monday. However, if he was able to save some of his allowance by the end of the week, not only he could keep the saved money in his piggy bank, but his parents would also match the amount he had saved and give him that money for deposit into his savings account at the bank.

With this contract, Joe learned to become more responsible in handling his allowance. After going through one penniless Friday, he learned how to budget his spending. He had enough money for each day, and he was even able to save some in his piggy bank for whatever else he may need or really want later on. Furthermore, Joe’s parents modeled for him the value of saving. Now Joe knows that because he’s using his allowance wisely, he’s also saving money in the bank for his important needs in the future.

Re-engineered parenting during the preteen years, not only shifts accountability to your child, it also allows you to finally rest from having to make constant reminders just to get things done. That should come as a relief to you. For some parents however, they worry about easing up on their control. True, parenting a preteen entails some stepping back on your part, some letting go. Sometimes, you may even have to watch him make mistakes. That’s hard for any parent, but trust that you’ve trained your child well in the earlier years. Now it’s time for the run-throughs to see how he’ll keep going on his own. Your child’s preteen years are a great opportunity for this carefully guided simulation of managing himself wisely when he’s a teenager.

Parents
Men who are used to buying viagra online are not aware of the health hazards associated, like hair loss and weight gain. Where hair extensions is a good solution for the former issue, for the latter, one should adopt the south beach diet and buy some fitness equipment. Purchasing hoodia or xenical is not the ultimate solution.

One thing you have in your preteen is a child who’s old enough to understand, but who’s young enough to be pliable. This is the time to let him explore his growing independence, yet still gently reel him in once in a while to make adjustments and realign his behavior as needed. Think of it as parental ‘product testing’. That means lots of trial and error blanketed in love, before you proudly and confidently release your masterpiece into the world market!

Fixer Upper: A Home Inspection Professional Is Essential To Identify Major Plumbing And Electrical Defects

Fixer uppers are homes that usually need a moderate number of home repairs generally not requiring special knowledge or expertise on your part, as the homeowner.
Fixer upper homes can be excellent bargains when the “asking price” is significantly lower than comparable homes nearby but in good or excellent condition.

An fixer upper needing a cosmetic fix-up can be a great property.  They generally need some repainting outside and inside (paint can do a lot of wonders), floor refinishing or new carpets, new lighting fixtures, little repairs, complete cleanup and landscaping.

If the home necessitates massive repairs such as electrical and plumbing problems that usually are expensive, it will slash your profit back or worst, eliminate it.

Before purchasing a house you believe is an effortless fixer upper, a professional home inspection should be considered because the inspector can provide you an accurate idea of what existing problems the home has and what repairs are needed as well as an approximate repair cost.

Here are frequently found fixer upper defects that might need your attention:

• Roofing

• Insulation

• Plumbing system

• Electrical system

• Central heating

• Central cooling

• Water seepage

• Structural

These defects requires expensive professional repair especially when talking about the value these repairs will return upon resale.

Most often, these major defects go unnoticed because fixer upper buyers usually can't see the inside workings, hidden out of view behind walls or covered inaccessible areas that are often taken for granted.

Cracked “heat-exchanger” in the heating system, faulty wiring, termite damage and safety and health problems like lead accumulation, water pipes as well as asbestos insulation are common physical flaws that you can't see immediately.

Indications of these hidden problems are as follows:

• Moisture stains that can be found on ceiling and walls could mean plumbing problems.

• Separations between wall and floor specifically for outer walls could mean structural problems.

• Sawdust piles near woodwork or wall corners can be an indication of termites.

A home inspection from a professional

A professional home inspection can cost about 200-325 dollars depending on the kind of property, location, square footage, etc.

When hiring a professional home inspection of fixer upper houses, it is wise that you obtain quotations first from several competing companies. However, the lowest bidder shouldn't be immediately given the job; aside from the price, you must inspect the “quality of service” they offer as well as the company name.  It is important to choose a company with a good reputation.

Several home inspection companies have some kind of computer-like machines which can supply inspection reports and descriptions instantly then the company adds their “pre-printed” sections which are very helpful for you in order to understand the fundamentals of repairing, fixing and replacement.

Furthermore, home inspection companies supply an entirely impartial appraisal and assessment of the house, inspecting everything carefully from electrical systems, plumbing to structural to make certain that the fixer upper house you are purchasing is sound.

Professional home inspectors can make certain that all major systems (air conditioning, plumbing, furnace) are working properly or they can pinpoint defects to you because these kinds of repairs will cost you a great deal of money.

However, do keep in mind that major repairing problems don't automatically indicate that you shouldn't purchase the fixer upper home, because they can and should be added in the home’s price negotiations.

A good fixer upper seller or realtor will and can factor in said considerations or concerns and you possibly can purchase the home for even less if you put it clearly that you will be responsible for the repair or replacements. Just be careful that you don't get tricked. Never take anybody’s word that the plumbing, the furnace or the electrical have no problems at all; you have to make certain.

Sometimes you can easily “walk away” from an excellent fixer upper home deal in a terrible neighborhood. At times, when you can specifically pin point what repairs and replacements are necessary, you can obtain a substantially lower price.

The trick in fixer upper homes is to discover those necessary repairs because often, the home seller won't point those out to you.

Banks usually do not like granting loans for bad credit, particularly with a history of bankruptcy. This is why entrepreneurs grab on a business opportunity and apply for a small business loan to come out of a tight fix, instead of making false reimbursement claims on their life or travel or health insurance. And this is precisely why banks advise to go through car insurance quotes too, to avoid facing fraudulent claims.

What is Identity Theft?

We are all proud of our name, our reputation and our accomplishments. We are each unique. We each have our very own distinct identity.

We have all been annoyed when someone took the credit for something we did. It might have been a misunderstanding by the coach, teacher, parent or boss that caused the problem, more than the other person who got all the praise. You are just annoyed that they bask in the glory of the moment when you think they really should turn and deflect at least some of the credit on to you. You soon learn its part of life, and to “just get over it” and move on. It usually doesn’t really matter in the bigger scheme of things.

The problem becomes much more serious when your identity is not just borrowed for a moment, but is actually deliberately stolen and used for profit by someone else. Worse, there may be serious consequences for you personally. You may incur financial losses. You could have a black mark placed against your reputation, socially, in your work place, when you want to access credit in future, or even legally in the form of a criminal record.

You could face severe difficulties just getting on with the routines of your life. Insurance, bank and lending companies may not wish to do business with you, or impose tough terms. You may find it difficult to get a job. It may be difficult for you to rent a home. Foreign countries may not admit you as a visitor if the records show you are a criminal. You could face big bills from having to engage identity theft lawyers to protect your reputation.

You may well have every right to feel aggrieved. These kinds of identity theft are crimes, and you become a victim of crime. Nevertheless, the processes to recover your losses and put your reputation right will probably move very slowly, and perhaps at great emotional cost and financial expense to you. And this process will take place for you at a very intimate and hurtful personal level, because it is your personal reputation that is at stake.

The problem for those in authority is deciding who, in fact, is the perpetrator of identity theft - you or the thief. Put yourself in their position: both you and the identity thief seem to be the same person. We all have rights, even thieves pretending to be you, and we are all assumed to be innocent until proven guilty under our legal system. Until you or an investigator can show clear evidence one way or the other, and until those in authority accept you are the “real” you, and what you have or have not done, then you may feel under suspicion as the thief yourself. You may find it necessary to engage an identity theft attorney. Expect to be somewhat frustrated as the wheels of justice slowly grind away to sort out these questions. And expect it may take several years to fully clear your records of the damage an identity thief can do to your reputation.

It is very wise to take what measures you reasonably can to prevent your identity being stolen in the first place.

How to Help Children Cope with Divorce

There are many children in the world that are going through the process of having their parents get divorced.  It is hard to not involve the children in the entire process of divorce but it is important that each child not be negatively affected or hurt by any of it at all.  The effects of divorce can be traumatic and long term.  Having changes in a child's living arrangements, time with their parents, and lifestyle can be very hard to deal with.  They may have anger and fear towards it and the parents.  It is best to help the child through this difficult time and help them feel better about their security and knowing that everything will be ok.

The word trauma is determined by the child's experience of the event and not by the event itself.  There are different children that are going to react in different ways.  The parents attitude during the divorce and to each other is very important to how the child is going to take it all in.  The words and things that a couple does are going to expose their children to unnecessary emotional pain or help them find good and positive from the experience.

When a child is going through the process of a divorce between their parents they may have feelings of depression and anxiety.  They may be afraid and nervous about the future and what it is going to hold for them.  It is so important for parents to let their child know that they are safe and that their life is going to be good and that everyone will get along much better because of the divorce.

There are some things that parents need to do for their child when they are going to be divorced from one another.  It is very crucial that parents are open and honest about what the children could be feeling and let them know that it is ok. They should come and speak to you when they have questions or concerns and they should not worry about anything.

Allow the child to communicate openly and honestly to you as well.  Do not get mad and let them speak their mind. This will help them to feel better and you as the parent will also have a good idea about how they are feeling and what they need help with the most.

Give your child a choice.  Let them increase their sense of power in the situation so that they feel like they are not left out in the dark.  Let them make the choice about what times they want to spend with each parent and what they want to do when they are together. Ask for their opinion and do not let them out of the entire loop.  You may be surprised at how this will help the child and make them feel more secure.

Get your child support if they need it. You should also be in some type of support if you are having emotional feelings that you cannot control. This will help the situation get better. There is no reason why parents and children cannot get through the pain of divorce together.

RV camping

RV camping

RV camping is a great way to spend your summer days off. It makes a great vacation for the family as well. When you go camping with an RV you do not have to worry about sleeping on the ground or deal with nature when you are trying to sleep. You will find that with the ad of an RV you will be able to live as if you are at home, but be out in nature. There are many places in the states that will allow you to hook your camper up to so that you can be one with nature, but have all necessities like electric. RV camping is so great because you do not have to sleep out with the bugs or worry about being awakened by a bear or some other wild animal. You can go camping, but be completely safe in an RV.

If you are planning a trip in your RV, you will need to find a camping ground that will allow you to bring an RV. Some of the sites will allow you to hook up to their lines so that you can fully enjoy your trip without any inconveniences. You will want to make sure that RVs are welcome, because many parks are not made for the RV.

Before you go camping, you will want to make a list of everything that you will need. You will need the basics, but also, make sure that you are not over looking the little things. People tend to take advantage of matches or other small items. You will want to think about everything that you could possibly need and mark it down on the list. Once you have gotten the list written, ask others what you may be overlooking. Then all you have to do is load up. However, before you leave, make sure everything is checked off on the list so you do not end up forgetting anything. Being well prepared is the key to having a great camping experience.

Before you take off in the RV, you may want to tell some of your trustworthy neighbors to take care of house and watch out for anything suspicious because you are going away for some time. This way you can come back to a safe and secured home. You will also want to stop the newspaper if you are going away for a week or more. There maybe other things that you will want to do so make a list and check them off so that you do not have to worry about anything on your trip.

Tips on How to Teach Your Kids to Save Money

Tips on How to Teach Your Kids to Save Money

A lot of teens nowadays do not understand the value of earning and spending money. They were not oriented that investing is necessary even if they are still students. As parents, you play a crucial role in this area.

You should be able to teach your kids on how to save money. They should be able to understand the concept of money and investment as early as childhood. This will prepare them to learn money management, as they grow old.

Here are some tips on how you can teach your children how to save money:

1. Your children should be educated of the meaning of money. Once your children have learned how to count, that is the perfect time for you teach them the real meaning of money. You should be consistent and explain to them in simple ways and do this frequently so that they may be able to remember what you taught them.

2. Always explain to them the value of saving money. Make them understand its importance and how it will impact their life. It is important that you entertain questions from them about money and you should be able to answer them right away.

3. When giving them their allowances. You need to give them their allowances in denominations. Then you can encourage them that they should keep a certain bill for the future. You can motivate them to do this by telling them that the money can be saved and they can buy new pair of shoes or the toys they want once they are able to save.

4. You can also teach them to work for money. You can start this at your own home. You can pay them fifty cents to one dollar every time they clean their rooms, do the dishes or feed their pets. This concept of earning little money will make them think that money is something they have worked for and should be spent wisely.

5. You can teach them to save money by giving them piggy banks where they can put coins and wait until they get full. You can also open bank accounts for them and let them deposit money from their allowance. You should always show them how much they have earned to keep them motivated.

Money and saving is not something that is learned by children in one sitting. You should be patient in teaching them and relating the value of money in all of their activities. Children will learn this easily if you are patient and consistent in guiding them and encouraging them in this endeavor.

Choosing Among the Best Exotic Pet Birds

Choosing Among the Best Exotic Pet Birds

Exotic birds are among the most popular pets to keep. Not only are they absolutely beautiful, with their brilliantly colored feathers, many pet owners find them easier to take care of than, say, a fuzzy cat or a rowdy dog. However, choosing among the best exotic pet birds is rather confusing because there are several species to choose from. Here are some of the most popular exotic pet:

Sun Conures – these birds are popular among the medium-sized variety. They grow to about 12 inches in length, requiring less living space than large parrots. The feathers of Sun Conures are tinted with brilliant hues of orange, yellow, red, green, and blue. Like parrots, Sun Conures can learn how to speak, however they can become quite vocal and noisy. They scream and screech and may not be ideal for those living in apartments buildings. Sun Conures usually live to around 20 to 35 years.

African Grays – these birds are considered to be among the most loquacious among exotic birds, they can acquire a vocabulary of up to 2,000 words. These birds are also rather intelligent, but they can get demanding and easily bored. However, African Greys can also be quite affectionate - perfect for owners who want sensible companions. They may live from 50 to 70 years.

Budgerigars – these are the most common among the pet birds and serve as good introduction to owning feathered pets. Budgies can be good pets for children and are quite attractive with a great variety of colors. They also require a relatively small space, while being quite easy to maintain. Though
